The afternoon social will be held at the Beaver Brook Country Club in Annandale on Sunday, November 2nd from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. All attendees are encouraged to bring a gently used clothing item as a donation which will be given to women in need in the community.

“Women helping women is what we are all about,” says Katherine Mehner, president of the Business Women’s Charitable Foundation. “Not only do these events raise money to support our local charities, they bring women together and when that happens, positive things happen,” she added.

Guest speaker Gail Gastelu, publisher and editor of The Tea House Times will be speaking on afternoon tea history, its importance to women past and present and how tea fits into society. “Afternoon tea brings people together and provides an opportunity to clear our minds, leaving us feeling more rested, more appreciated, with clear goals for the future.
