NJAWBO's mission is to address the challenges unique to women business owners, provide the tools necessary for business success, serve as the voice of women-owned businesses in the legislature, and encourage leadership in the business community.
According to the Center for Women’s Business Research, nearly half of the privately-held businesses in the U.S. are owned by women, translating to over 10.5 million businesses generating over $2.5 trillion to the national economy.
“The statistics tell the story. More and more women are becoming business owners,” say Ulka Rodgers, new president of the Hunterdon County chapter of NJABWO. “We want to energize these women with programs that provide valuable information for them to bring back to the shop and grow their business,” she added.
